Starfish Book Nook + Coffee Corner began with a simple idea: create a warm, welcoming place where community and purpose could meet. Operated by Starfish Ministries of Cenla, a local non-profit, the bookstore and coffee shop was born out of a desire to do more than serve great books and coffee—it was created to help redefine futures for children in foster care.

From the beginning, there has always been a seat open—whether for a student looking for a quiet place to study or a foster family in need of a comfortable space to connect.

What started as a vision to turn everyday moments into meaningful impact has become a cozy corner where every purchase helps write a brighter future.
