This is a basic Bible doctrine course. It does not attempt to cover everything about the Bible, nor even everything about the major doctrines. It is intended to introduce you to the basic things you need to know as a Christian. Its purpose is to equip you to understand what you study from the Word of God yourself and what you hear taught.
It is a fast-moving course. To gain the greatest benefit from it you should study it on a daily basis (rather than weekly or at some other interval). Each lesson builds upon the lessons studied before. We cover a lot of material quickly, and do not take time for repetition or review. This is why you need to study it every day, so that the previous lessons will still be fresh in your mind. Sticking to daily study will require discipline on your part, but it will pay off in keeping the course interesting and helpful to you.
You can increase your understanding even more by going through the course twice in succession. New material is covered in every lesson: you may not fully grasp all of it at first because you do not yet see the overall picture of Bible doctrine. But after being introduced to all the material once, you will be able to relate the lessons to each other as you go through them again. You will grasp the meaning more fully and retain more of it in your memory.
As you do this you will find that you have a framework of knowledge on which to place the new truths you discover as you continue to study the inexhaustible Word of God.
